Change of address
If you move house or are a landlord, including agents acting on behalf of a landlord, wishing to report a change of tenancy it is important that you tell us as soon as possible.
If the moving date is within the next 21 days, we will process the form as soon as we can. If not, we will hold onto the information and process it within 21 days prior to the move.
Moving into Edinburgh
If you are moving into Edinburgh from another area, or if you were not responsible for Council Tax at your old house (for example, if you lived with your parents), you should use this form. You will need the address and postcode of your new property and details of the sellers or agents.
Moving within Edinburgh
If you are responsible for Council Tax and are moving from one Edinburgh address to another, you should use this form. You will need the address and postcode of both properties and details of the buyers, sellers or agents.
Moving out of Edinburgh
If you are moving out of Edinburgh, or you will no longer be responsible for Council Tax at your new home (for example, if you move back in with your parents), you should use this form. You will need the address and postcode of the property you are leaving and details of the sellers or agents.
We will send you a bill for any balance due after all payments made have been taken into account. You must pay this within one month, as a single lump sum.

Report a change of tenancy at a property you let out in Edinburgh
If you are a landlord, including agents acting on behalf of a landlord, and wish to report a tenant has moved in or out of your property, you should use this form. You will need the address and post code of the property being let out and details of the incoming or vacating tenants, including forwarding address if available.
We will send you a bill for any period the property is empty between tenancies. We will also send a bill to the incoming tenants and a final bill to vacating tenants.
